A mister George Tackle, upon the very first he wanted to go fishing, bought some fish hooks & named the equipment following himself

    Tackle is “a set of equipment used in a particular activity”.

    The origin of the word is a 13th century Middle English word “takel” (which is akin to an identical Middle Dutch word) meaning “a ship’s rigging”.
