Question by thesandstereo: What is the difference among a ski rope and wake rope?
I am just obtaining into wake boarding soon after becoming a skilled skier for a lot more than a few years. I am asking the question due to the fact I have several ski tow ropes, but no wake tow ropes. Prior to I devote the dollars I wanted to know if there is in fact a distinction or if it is all a advertising and marketing gimmick to overcharge on ropes.

wake ropes are created for wake boarding, they are shorter, they keep you closer to the boat so that you have a bigger wake you ride.
a ski rope is longer.

if you have a ski rope, most will shorten so that they are wake rope length.

if you are just beginning, a ski rope is fine.

the shorter rope is far better for tricks and jumping the wakes

eventually you will need to have a wake rope, but until then, you ski rope will function fine,
