I have more fun hunting squirrels than deer be because there are more of them in the woods. Although getting a deer is more exiting.

Squirrel hunting with a shotgun is just not fare to the squirrel you go from solid 22 to 12. 20 or 28 gauge with bbs people use a 22

@sirbata The meat off of the grey squirrel is awesome.They eat up gardens and crops.They like to build their nest in your attic.It makes you a better marksman.You get good exercise.You get to see a lot of natural wonders that most people have to pay to see. If you don’t control the population the mother squirrels will chew the testicles off of their young male offspring to help control the population.
so whare i live we have no black or fox squirrels that ik of and i was wondering if you guys dont do any thing with them if maby you could freez a balck or fox squirrel and ship it to me id pay you if you wanted . i mount them .
why hunt them? poor meat and they do no pose threat to our livestock.

I was hunting last week for squirrel I only have a 410 shotgun and was usein target load so I ended up needin to shoot the squirrel 4 times for it to die I kinda sucked
Thank you for sharing. I have healed the pox in squirrels with Reiki. It is unfortunate that some healing can’t be done to heal the greys of the pox… their temperament would change if they were well. I have a grey squirrel… a refugee from Hurricane Katrina and she is a sweet girl.
@TheSquirrelady here in the uk grey squirrels are vermin due to the para-pox virus that they all carry, the greys are the reason our own native red squirrel are in sad decline, they cant deal with the virus and are dead within 16 days of coming into contact with a grey, as cute as they may be it is a problem that needs to be dealt with,
