i think the ugly stik isnt a good rod for bass fishing but is top of the line for catfish

@co1binat3r Yea so far i like it too.
i have the quantum code and its a great reel except for the magnetic breaking system due to its only 4 settings
set the brake to zero, and cast it as hard as u can…… >=)

i meant the magnetic breaking system’s knob but thanks anyway!
just press the thumb bar to release the line, then wind up the line adjust that knob on the side there till the lure barely move down on it own weight, kepp repeating till your lure moves slowly and then you should be good, also you dont have to whip the baitcaster hard as you can,

that is the magnetic breaking system, there are vids about it, the higher the number the more breaking causing it to cast shortes but less backlash, the lower the number the farther n faster the spool spins. hope it helps n good fishing to ya
