Question by Christi: Searching for Water Skis, What must I get?
I have skied just before but have never ever water skied. I am looking for some thing I can get for about $ 200 (with all of the accessories). What ought to I look for as a beginner and do you have any suggestions? Thank you!

get a decent combo pair of skis. If you’ve never waterskied then you dont need to waste your money on a slalom ski ( can cost up to $ 1800 for a good ski with bindings). learn on the pair then when you’re ready to try slalom then you use the ski in your pair that is the slalom ski. decide if you like the sport then go for a better slalom ski.

You’ve really got a lot of options. HO Skis, O’Brien, and Connelly make some great products and if you’re looking for beginner water skis, you can definitely find a pair of combo skis for under $ 200..probably around $ 130-$ 150. You’d just have to get a rope/handle, which would probably put you right around your $ 200 budget mark…so like I said, you’ve got a lot of options.
