since you said you do most of your outdoor activities in the summer you should look into a hammock set up. They are very comfortable and light weight.

I don’t know where to get a small light exactly like yours but Harbor-Freight, a hardware chain, sells a very good one for about two dollars. It can be pushed in and held on and off or slid into place to stay on. It’s a lot cheaper than spending twenty to thirty dollars some of the specialty backpackinglight stores will charge you. I’m going to make a video on them, soon.

Excellent choice of pack and gear. Always glad to see a fellow backpacker going as light as possible. Good to know your wife is just as enthusiastic. Keep her. Next time, use a tripod and hand-hold the items to the camera. The quick movements of the camera made it difficult to watch. I wish I had some of your stuff. Great video, amigo.

…the “throat” being the top opening that you roll down and secure with a strap…it’s a few inches longer…it happens to weigh 1oz. less than mine…

she’s comitted…she’s as tired of carrying a heavy pack as I am…it just so happens that I got a deal on these packs…the only difference as far as I can tell is A) hers is a womens pack, which means the straps are set up a little differently to accomodate for a womens center of gravity being in their chest…and b) the Pinnacle is identicle to the Jam in that the pack is essentially the same config….the Pinnacle just hapens to have a longer “throat” if you will…

@trollgoal Thanks man. That’s too funny that your wife’s pack is larger than yours. Sounds like she hasn’t completely commited to the ultralight philosophy. My wife is resistant as well.
