This is my 3rd season hunting in CO. I had always thought that my buddies were pro’s and knew what they were doing. I read Mr. Baldwin’s book about 2 months ago… I went out this year with my buddies. 2 of them listened to me and the other 3 hunted in a different area. I got my first CO elk (just outside Steamboat). My other two buddies both got shots off… The 3 guys that hunted a different area, didn’t even see elk.

My success this year is due entirely to you Mr. Baldwin. Thanks for giving me some common sense info that I can use for life!!!

I will recommend your book to all my buddies!

    Keep up the great work!

    Sincerely,
    M. Pirkl

I think the book is well written .this is not a story book . this book gives good advice to a new or seasoned hunter . if your planning on going elk hunting this book will give you tips to make your hunt easier and more enjoyable . nobody can tell you where to sit to harvest an elk ,on a real hunt . Brian does give you tips on where to start looking for elk , and also how to scout the area from home . I think anyone could learn a tip or two from this book . Jim

Brian Baldwin includes some interesting information on using and overlaying internet maps and photos for pre-hunt scouting. He also includes various tidbits about elk calls and hunting gear which will likely spark an idea in the mind of most any hunter.
